Guitarist Lauri Manninen was born in Pudasjärvi, Finland, where he first began to learn guitar from his father. Later he studied at the Conservatory of Oulu with Ilkka Virta and at the Helsinki Metropolia with Petri Kumela. He won the II International Youth Guitar Competition "Tallinn 2013".
Manninen has played concerts in Finland, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Hungary and Spain and has worked as a guitar teacher, including at the Community College of Oulu.
Manninen has been arranging and transcribing music for guitar for many years by composers such as W. A. Mozart and C. P. E. Bach, and frequently performs these arrangements in concerts.
